About Broker MCP

Broker MCP is a Message Aid server for working with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, and SQS. Its documented support currently covers RabbitMQ queues and topics, plus queue purging; other broker operations are planned.

Key features

  1. 01RabbitMQ queue and topic resources
  2. 02RabbitMQ queue purging
  3. 03STDIO transport
  4. 04Broker URL configuration

Use cases

  1. 01Inspect RabbitMQ queues and topics
  2. 02Purge a RabbitMQ queue
  3. 03Connect through a configured broker URL

MCP support

It exposes broker resources and actions to MCP clients. The README documents RabbitMQ queue and topic access and queue purging; Azure Service Bus and SQS support is planned.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

"command": "docker",
"args": [

}
Run commanddocker run -i --rm '\'

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
