About MCP Montano Server
MCP Montano Server is a simple TypeScript-based MCP server project. It suits developers who want a basic server structure to reference or a sample server to connect to Cursor. The project provides development and production build run modes.
Key features
- 01TypeScript-based MCP server structure
- 02Development mode with npm run dev
- 03Production build with npm run build
- 04Sample Cursor mcpServers configuration
Use cases
- 01Reference a basic TypeScript MCP server layout
- 02Connect a locally built MCP server to Cursor
MCP support
This is an MCP server that runs from build/index.js and can be registered in Cursor's mcpServers configuration. The README does not describe the specific tools it exposes.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
