About Model Context Protocol Server
A FastAPI-based implementation of an MCP server for developers building services with context management and session handling. It includes WebSocket support, authentication, request validation, and API documentation.
Key features
- 01FastAPI REST API
- 02Context management
- 03Session handling and persistence
- 04WebSocket updates
- 05Authentication and authorization
- 06Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
Use cases
- 01Build an MCP server with FastAPI
- 02Manage context and persistent sessions
- 03Support real-time updates over WebSockets
- 04Document and validate API requests
MCP support
Implements an MCP server with context management, session handling, and protocol operations. The README describes server capabilities but does not specify which MCP tools or resources it exposes.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
