About MCP Proxy Server
MCP Proxy Server is a proxy that aggregates multiple MCP servers behind a single HTTP entrypoint. It is aimed at developers and teams who want one endpoint for several MCP servers, and it can hold and refresh OAuth tokens for downstream services on behalf of callers.
Key features
- 01Aggregates tools, prompts and resources from many MCP servers
- 02Serves over Server-Sent Events or streamable HTTP
- 03Supports stdio, sse and streamable-http client types
- 04Holds and refreshes downstream OAuth tokens for all callers
- 05Docker image can launch servers started with npx and uvx
Use cases
- 01Exposing several MCP servers to a client through one address
- 02Authorizing once against downstream services that require interactive OAuth
- 03Running a shared MCP proxy as a container
MCP support
MCP Proxy Server acts as an MCP client connecting to multiple downstream MCP servers and as an MCP server that exposes their aggregated tools, prompts and resources to upstream clients.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

From the project READMEMCP Proxy Server
An MCP proxy that aggregates multiple MCP servers behind a single HTTP entrypoint.
Features
- Proxy multiple MCP clients: aggregate tools, prompts, and resources from many servers.
- SSE and streamable HTTP: serve via Server‑Sent Events or streamable HTTP.
- Flexible config: supports
stdio, sse, andstreamable-httpclient types. - OAuth client support: authorize once against downstream servers that require interactive OAuth (e.g. Notion), then let the proxy hold and refresh the token for every caller.

Quick Start
Build from source
git clone https://github.com/tbxark/mcp-proxy.git
cd mcp-proxy
make build
./build/mcp-proxy --config path/to/config.json
Install via Go
go install github.com/tbxark/mcp-proxy@latest
Docker
The image includes support for launching MCP servers via npx and uvx.
docker run -d -p 9090:9090 -v /path/to/config.json:/config/config.json ghcr.io/tbxark/mcp-proxy:latest
# or provide a remote config
docker run -d -p 9090:9090 ghcr.io/tbxark/mcp-proxy:latest --config https://example.com/config.json
More deployment options (including docker‑compose) are in docs/deployment.md.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
