About Mcp Server Boilerplate
Mcp Server Boilerplate is a Node.js/TypeScript framework for building MCP servers. It registers tools and resources dynamically from files that export a Zod schema and an asynchronous handler.
Key features
- 01Dynamic tool and resource registration
- 02Zod schemas for definitions
- 03Asynchronous handlers
- 04Naming-based file discovery
Use cases
- 01Start a Node.js MCP server project
- 02Add tools as separate source files
- 03Define resources with schemas and handlers
MCP support
A framework for building MCP servers, with automatic registration of tools and resources.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
