About MCP Server
A Java demo server built on Nasdanika AI and CLI capabilities, intended to demonstrate MCP server development and provide starter code. Its declarative assembly, generated documentation, and observability support distinguish its implementation.
Key features
- 01Declarative capability assembly
- 02Generated documentation
- 03STDIO and SSE transports
- 04Reactor Netty SSE transport
- 05OpenTelemetry observability
Use cases
- 01Use as starter code for a Java MCP server
- 02Assemble server capabilities from implementations
- 03Observe server activity with OpenTelemetry
MCP support
It exposes a Nasdanika-based MCP server over STDIO and SSE transports for MCP clients.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
From the project READMEMCP Server
An MCP server built on top of Nasdanika AI and CLI capabilities. The purpose of the demo server is to show how to build MCP servers in Java and provide starter code.
Key features:
- Declarative assembly - developers focus on implementing individual capabiliies which are then assembled into a server
- Generated documentation
- STDIO and SSE transport
- SSE transport implemented on top of Reactor Netty with a minimal number of dependencies
- Observability with Open Telementry

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
