About DNSDumpster - MCP Server
DNSDumpster - MCP Server connects the DNSDumpster API to AI assistants for natural-language domain reconnaissance. It queries several DNS record types and includes caching and rate limiting.
Key features
- 01Query domain DNS records
- 02View IP and ASN details
- 03Retrieve banner information
- 04Support pagination and domain maps
- 05Provide caching and rate limiting
Use cases
- 01Find a domain's subdomains
- 02Check a domain's mail servers
- 03Review DNS infrastructure
- 04Generate a domain structure map
MCP support
The MCP server exposes DNSDumpster API-based domain reconnaissance to MCP clients, including DNS record queries and related information retrieval.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
