About MCP Server em TypeScript

A TypeScript implementation of an MCP-compatible server for developers who need a small local or containerized example. It lists available models and provides a sample completion endpoint.

Key features

  1. 01Lists available models
  2. 02Provides a sample completion
  3. 03Runs in development or production
  4. 04Supports Docker deployment

Use cases

  1. 01Testing MCP-compatible endpoints locally
  2. 02Running the example server in Docker

MCP support

Implements an MCP-compatible server with `GET /v1/models` and `POST /v1/completions` endpoints.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"thaydeveloper": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"build"
]
}
}
}
Run commanddocker run -i --rm build

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

Tools

No tool list yet

Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

    npm install

  2. Rode em modo desenvolvimento:
    npm run dev

  3. Para build e execução em produção:
    npm run build
    npm start

Usando Docker

  1. Construa a imagem:
    docker build -t mcp-server .

  2. Rode o container:
    docker run -p 3000:3000 mcp-server

O servidor estará disponível em http://localhost:3000.

Endpoints MCP

  • GET /v1/models: Lista os modelos disponíveis
  • POST /v1/completions: Gera uma resposta de exemplo

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
