Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

Installation
Option A – use the published npm package (recommended):
npm install ziweiai-mcp-server
Or run directly without installing (requires Node.js ≥18):
npx ziweiai-mcp-server
Option B – build from source (clone the repo):
cd mcp-server
npm install
npm run build
Prerequisites
- MCP API Key: Log in at ziweiai.com or ziweiai.com.cn, go to My Reports, find MCP Integration, and click Generate MCP API Key. Copy the key (it is shown only once).
- Reports: Purchase reports on the website first; MCP can only list purchased reports and fetch their content.
Environment
| Variable | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY | Yes | Your MCP API key from the website. |
ZIWEIAI_API_BASE | No | API base URL (default: https://ziweiai.com). Use https://ziweiai.com.cn if your account/reports are on the Chinese site. |
Run
If you installed via npm:
export ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY="your-key-here"
npx ziweiai-mcp-server
Or with the global bin (after npm install -g ziweiai-mcp-server):
export ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY="your-key-here"
ziweiai-mcp
If you built from source:
export ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY="your-key-here"
node dist/index.js
Or with tsx (no build): ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY="your-key" npx tsx src/index.ts
Cursor configuration
Add to Cursor MCP settings (e.g. ~/.cursor/mcp.json or Cursor Settings → Features → MCP):
Using the npm package (recommended):
{
"mcpServers": {
"ziweiai": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "ziweiai-mcp-server"],
"env": {
"ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY": "your-mcp-api-key"
}
}
}
}
-y makes npx use the package without prompting. Replace your-mcp-api-key with your key.
Using a local build (clone the repo first):
{
"mcpServers": {
"ziweiai": {
"command": "node",
"args": ["/path/to/ziweiai/mcp-server/dist/index.js"],
"env": {
"ZIWEIAI_MCP_API_KEY": "your-mcp-api-key"
}
}
}
}
Replace /path/to/ziweiai with the real path.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
