About Sequencer

Sequencer is a hosted MCP server for AI assistants that generate and edit image, video, and audio projects. It combines model discovery and cost quotes with media generation and timeline editing.

Key features

  1. 01Discover models and quote costs
  2. 02Generate images, video, and speech
  3. 03Track jobs and retrieve media
  4. 04Browse workspaces, projects, and media
  5. 05Edit scenes, timelines, audio, and transitions
  6. 06Review and export projects

Use cases

  1. 01Compare models and estimate image-generation costs
  2. 02Generate voiceovers and check completion status
  3. 03Adjust shots and timelines in a creative project
  4. 04Review and export a finished project

MCP support

Exposes Sequencer generation, account browsing, and project-editing capabilities to remote MCP clients over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Some generation actions consume credits and require user approval.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Copy install command
Claude CodeTerminal
Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json
Claude Desktopclaude_desktop_config.json
Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

Sequencer MCP

Sequencer connects AI assistants to image, video and voiceover generation, upfront cost quotes, and editable creative projects.

Capabilities

  • Discover available models and quote generation costs before spending credits.
  • Generate images, videos and speech, then check job status and retrieve completed media.
  • Browse the connected account's workspaces, projects and media.
  • Assemble scenes and shots, edit timelines, and manage audio, overlays and transitions.
  • Review creative work and export completed projects.

Available tools and models are discovered from the hosted server. Some operations consume Sequencer credits and require the user's approval and sufficient account balance.

Connect

Sequencer is a hosted MCP server using Streamable HTTP and OAuth.

  1. In your assistant's MCP settings, add a remote HTTP server named sequencer.
  2. Set its URL to https://mcp.sequencer.media/.
  3. Start the connection, sign in to your Sequencer account, and approve access in the browser.
  4. Return to your assistant and enable the Sequencer tools.

Use a client that supports remote MCP connections and OAuth. Authorization gives the assistant access to the connected Sequencer account and its projects. Complete sign-in in the browser; credentials and access tokens belong in the client's secure authorization flow.

GitHub Copilot in VS Code

Use MCP: Add Server to add the endpoint, or merge this entry into your workspace's .mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sequencer": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.sequencer.media/"
    }
  }
}

Start the server and complete the Sequencer OAuth flow when prompted. See VS Code's MCP setup guide for client configuration.

Use Sequencer

Example prompts:

  • “List my Sequencer workspaces and projects.”
  • “Compare image models and quote a product image before generating it.”
  • “Create a three-shot product video. Show me the plan and total cost for approval first.”
  • “Open my project, shorten the second shot, and export an MP4 after I approve the changes.”

For generation, have the assistant select an available model, quote the complete settings, and respect your approved spending limit. Wait for media and exports to finish before using their output links.

Registry and support

This repository contains public connection documentation and the registry manifest for the hosted Sequencer service.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
