Mini Course Generator MCP Server

Build, publish and track interactive micro-courses from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client.

Mini Course Generator is an AI course builder and LMS used by over 20,000 training providers. This remote MCP server lets your AI assistant create real courses (structured lessons, quizzes and interactive blocks like flip cards, hotspot images and accordions), publish them, and read how learners are doing.

  • Endpoint: https://mcp.minicoursegenerator.com
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP (remote, hosted)
  • Auth: OAuth 2.1 (sign in with your Mini Course Generator account, no API key needed)
  • Website: https://minicoursegenerator.com/mcp/
  • Also available as: an official app in the ChatGPT apps directory

This repository documents the hosted server for MCP directories. The server itself is closed source and runs on Mini Course Generator's infrastructure.

What you can do

  • Turn existing knowledge into a course. Ask your assistant to read Confluence, Notion, Slack or Google Drive and build a multi-section course with a quiz after every section.
  • Build in one prompt. Create a course, its landing page, modules, sections and lessons (info pages and quizzes) from a single description.
  • Add media. Import images, audio and video, or host SCORM 1.2 packages inside a lesson.
  • Publish and theme. Publish whole modules or single lessons, and set layout, fonts and colours.
  • Run the course afterwards. Read analytics, learner progress, finishers and per-question answers, then fix the questions everyone gets right or the lessons that confuse people.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
