RemoteAbout developer-toolkit-mcp
developer-toolkit-mcp is a public, read-only MCP server for agents that need reliable guidance on AI-assisted development. Its searchable collection contains more than 950 guides in English and Polish, with tools to search and retrieve full articles.
Key features
- 01Search more than 950 guides
- 02Fetch full articles as Markdown
- 03English and Polish content
- 04Read-only remote HTTP endpoint
Use cases
- 01Check Cursor flags while coding
- 02Look up Claude Code hooks

MCP support
It provides MCP clients with two read-only tools: `search` finds relevant guides, and `fetch` returns the full article. It connects over Streamable HTTP at a public remote endpoint.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.
Tools
2| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| query | string | Yes | Natural-language query or keywords. Polish queries return Polish articles. |
| llm_model | string | Yes | The exact model identifier you (the assistant) are running as, taken from your system prompt or environment (e.g. "claude-opus-4-8", "gpt-5.2"). Used for analytics only. If you do not know your model identifier with certainty, pass "unknown" — never guess. |

The documentation, as a tool your agent can call.
Your agent already guesses at Cursor flags, Claude Code hooks and Codex config. Point it here instead and it reads the guide — mid-prompt, without you leaving the editor. A public, read-only MCP endpoint over 950+ guides on AI-assisted development, in EN and PL, from developertoolkit.ai. No account, no API key.
Connect
A remote HTTP server — nothing to install, nothing to keep running.
claude mcp add --transport http dtk https://developertoolkit.ai/mcp
Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"dtk": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://developertoolkit.ai/mcp"
}
}
}
Codex (~/.codex/config.toml):
[mcp_servers.dtk]
url = "https://developertoolkit.ai/mcp"
Any MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP works — including ChatGPT connectors, where you paste the endpoint URL directly.
Tools
| Tool | In | Out |
|---|---|---|
search | { query } | { results: [{ id, title, url, snippet, lang }] } — ranked across both languages; a Polish query returns Polish articles. |
fetch | { id } | { id, title, text, url, metadata } — the complete article as markdown, not an extract. |
Corpus: every guide on developertoolkit.ai — Cursor, Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, from first setup through hooks, MCP, testing, CI and deployment — rebuilt on each deploy. Both tools are read-only.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
