About Monitor MCP Server
An MCP server for monitoring macOS system resources, including CPU, memory, and disk usage. It is intended for users who need to retrieve host resource details through MCP tools.
Key features
- 01Monitor CPU usage
- 02View per-core usage
- 03Read CPU frequency and core count
- 04Monitor memory usage
- 05Inspect disk partitions
Use cases
- 01Check system CPU load
- 02Review available and used memory
- 03Check disk space by partition
- 04Retrieve system resource details through MCP
MCP support
The server exposes tools for CPU, memory, and disk information through MCP: `get_cpu_info()`, `get_memory_info()`, and `get_disk_info()`.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
