About Drop to CDN

Drop to CDN's MCP server lets clients upload files and manage CDN-hosted files through the Drop to CDN API. It is intended for users working from MCP hosts such as Claude Desktop and Cursor who need public file URLs.

Key features

  1. 01Upload local files or base64 content
  2. 02Retrieve file URLs and metadata
  3. 03List account files with pagination
  4. 04Permanently delete files by ID

Use cases

  1. 01Share a report through a public CDN URL
  2. 02Check metadata for an uploaded file
  3. 03Review recent account uploads
  4. 04Remove a file from the CDN

MCP support

Exposes upload, file lookup, listing, and deletion tools to MCP clients. It authenticates to the Drop to CDN API with a bearer API key.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
