About OAS-MCP
OAS-MCP is a Go application that generates an MCP server from OpenAPI specifications in YAML or JSON. It exposes API endpoints as MCP tools and generates the corresponding Go client code.
Key features
- 01Generate Go client code from OpenAPI
- 02Build an MCP server
- 03Expose API endpoints as MCP tools
- 04Support real-time communication with SSE
Use cases
- 01Make existing OpenAPI endpoints available as MCP tools
- 02Generate a Go API client
- 03Communicate in real time over SSE
MCP support
The project generates an MCP server from an OpenAPI specification and exposes each API endpoint as a tool for MCP clients.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

- SSE (Server-Sent Events)
- Go 1.24以上

go mod download
go run cmd/main.go -path=./api/openapi.yaml -output=./pkg/client

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
