About GenReady
GenReady is an MCP server for teams and coding agents checking whether websites are ready for AI search citations and agent use. It returns findings and fix plans, with tools to track, verify, and generate certain fixes.
Key features
- 01Analyze page AI readiness
- 02Scan whole sites
- 03Retrieve reports and findings
- 04Track and verify fixes
- 05Generate robots.txt, llms.txt, and JSON-LD
- 06View domains and ranked fix plans
Use cases
- 01Assess a page for AI search readiness
- 02Find issues across a website
- 03Give an agent a prioritized fix list
- 04Recheck findings after deploying changes
MCP support
Provides website analysis, reports, findings, status, and artifact-generation tools to MCP clients. It supports remote Streamable HTTP and a local stdio package that forwards requests to the hosted endpoint.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

Details
From the project README@genready/mcp-server
Connect GenReady to your AI assistant or coding agent. Scan any page for readiness to be cited by AI search engines and used by AI agents, then hand the fix checklist straight to your agent.
1. Get an API key
Create one at genready.ai/api-keys. To read site-wide fix plans, enable Read site data (domain:read) when you create it.
2. Connect
Remote (recommended, nothing to install)
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can connect directly:
- URL:
https://genready.ai/mcp - Header:
Authorization: Bearer gr_live_your_key_here
Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http genready https://genready.ai/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer gr_live_your_key_here"
Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"genready": {
"url": "https://genready.ai/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer gr_live_your_key_here" }
}
}
}
Local command (stdio)
For clients that only launch local commands, such as Claude Desktop:
{
"mcpServers": {
"genready": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@genready/mcp-server"],
"env": { "GENREADY_API_KEY": "gr_live_your_key_here" }
}
}
}
This package forwards to the hosted endpoint, so both options expose the same tools.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
