About PadelTrue padel racket data

PadelTrue padel racket data is a read-only dataset of published racket specifications and calculated ratings, maintained by an independent comparison site. Its records include source details and wording, making it useful for data analysis and racket comparisons.

Key features

  1. 01Published specifications with source details
  2. 02Calculated ratings from published specifications
  3. 03JSON, CSV, and brand tables
  4. 04Field definitions and rating limitations
  5. 05Dated price observations

Use cases

  1. 01Compare racket specifications across brands
  2. 02Analyze source-backed racket data in scripts
  3. 03Review how published specifications inform ratings
  4. 04Check recorded prices and their observation dates

MCP support

The data is exposed through a remote, read-only MCP server at https://padeltrue.com/mcp. MCP clients can ask questions using the same racket dataset.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Tools

5
ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
sortenumNoCalculated rating used to order results; without it, results are in name order, not a best-match ranking.power | control | handling | forgiveness | comfort
yearintegerNoExact model year, for example 2027
brandstringNo
limitintegerNoDefault 3, at most 10
querystringNoOptional words from a brand or model name, for example nox at10. Leave absent for a budget/style search without a named model. Express price, year and rating constraints with their structured fields.
shapeenumNoround | teardrop | diamond | hybrid
currencystringNoThree-letter currency code explicitly established by the user, for example EUR or USD. Required with maxPrice. No conversion is applied; a dollar sign alone does not identify a currency.
maxPricenumberNoHighest observed price. Needs currency.
minPowerintegerNoLowest calculated power rating
minComfortintegerNoLowest calculated comfort rating
minControlintegerNoLowest calculated control rating
minHandlingintegerNoLowest calculated handling rating
minForgivenessintegerNoLowest calculated forgiveness rating

Padel racket data

Published specifications of 347 padel rackets from 23 brands, each with the address of the page it was read from and the wording used there. Maintained by PadelTrue, an independent padel racket comparison website.

Export date: 2026-10-27. An automated job publishes data changes. This date does not mean every specification was rechecked that day; individual price observation dates are included in the data.

What is in it

FileWhat it holds
rackets.jsonThe full record of every racket: 2507 specifications, each with source, verbatim and sourceType, plus the calculated ratings
rackets.csvOne row per racket, for a spreadsheet
brands/One readable table per brand
DATA_DICTIONARY.mdField definitions, units, missing values, CSV mapping and rating limitations
examples/A runnable example: specification coverage by brand, made by coverage_by_brand.py
examples/weight-ranges/A dated finding that can be repeated: 101 of 130 recorded weights are a range, with the frozen export and the calculation
mcp/The same data as questions an assistant can ask: a remote, read only MCP server at https://padeltrue.com/mcp, and plain JSON addresses described at https://padeltrue.com/agents

What the ratings are, and what they are not

The ratings are calculated from the published specifications with a formula that is printed in full at padeltrue.com/methodology, model version 1.0. They describe what a build favours on paper. They are not court tests, laboratory measurements or customer reviews. When a usable input is missing from a record, the model uses a neutral midpoint. inputsPublished counts usable inputs out of five; a missing input here does not prove that no source has published it.

Carbon K count, surface texture and thickness are recorded where available and are excluded from the scoring formula. The methodology explains the evidence and limits behind the model.

What is not in it

  • No photographs.
  • No specification without a source. A racket with too little published is held back and listed at padeltrue.com/methodology.
  • Prices are snapshots from the linked source, dated in JSON specs.price.checkedOn and CSV price_checked. They are not live prices or confirmation of availability.

Use it

curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/odedkovach/padel-racket-data/main/rackets.json

For reproducible work, replace main in the download URL with a commit SHA and record modelVersion. Use JSON when you need each specification's source; the CSV is a summary and omits field-level provenance.

The same files are served at padeltrue.com/data.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
