About agentos
agentos is a local-first MCP server that gives Claude Code persistent, project-scoped memory across sessions. It stores memories in SQLite and retrieves them with FTS5 keyword search.
Key features
- 01Persistent memory across sessions
- 02Local SQLite storage
- 03FTS5 keyword search
- 04Project-scoped memory
- 05Two MCP memory tools
Use cases
- 01Recall architecture decisions in later sessions
- 02Save bug fixes and root causes
- 03Search project conventions and commands
MCP support
Exposes `memory.remember` and `memory.search` to MCP clients over newline-delimited JSON-RPC on stdio. Search is scoped to the server's working directory.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
The maintainer has not added details yet. Check the README in the repository.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
