About Password Strength X402
Password Strength X402 is a password-analysis API for AI agents and MCP clients. It estimates entropy and crack time, and charges per call through x402 using USDC on Base.
Key features
- 01Password strength score and rating
- 02Entropy and crack-time estimates
- 03Checks common passwords
- 04Improvement suggestions
- 05x402 payment per call
Use cases
- 01Assess a password's strength
- 02Estimate password cracking time
- 03Get suggestions for stronger passwords
MCP support
An MCP endpoint exposes the `security_check_password` tool, which returns a strength score, rating, entropy, estimated crack time, and suggestions. Access is pay-per-call through x402.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

Quickstart -- MCP
Add to your MCP client config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, ElizaOS, etc.):
{
"mcpServers": {
"password-strength": {
"url": "https://password-strength.api.klymax402.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Quickstart -- HTTP (x402)
curl -X POST "https://password-strength.api.klymax402.com/api/check" \

security_check_password
Use this when you need to evaluate password strength or security. Returns a score 0-100, strength rating (weak/fair/strong/excellent), estimated crack time, entropy bits, and improvement suggestions. Checks against top 1000 common passwords. Do NOT use for hash generation — use crypto_generate_hash. Do NOT use for input validation — use data_validate_json.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
