About PrimeKG to Neo4j
PrimeKG to Neo4j imports the Precision Medicine Knowledge Graph into Neo4j for biomedical data exploration and analysis. It is intended for users working with biomedical graph data; the README describes data processing, database import, and query tools.
Key features
- 01Downloads and processes PrimeKG data
- 02Imports data into Neo4j
- 03Provides tools for querying and analysis
Use cases
- 01Exploring biomedical relationships in Neo4j
- 02Analyzing imported PrimeKG data
MCP support
The project is described as an MCP server, but the README does not specify what it exposes to MCP clients.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
From the project READMEPrimeKG to Neo4j
This project imports the Precision Medicine Knowledge Graph (PrimeKG) into a Neo4j database for data analysis and exploration.
Overview
PrimeKG is a comprehensive biomedical knowledge graph that integrates 20 high-quality biomedical resources to describe 17,080 diseases with over 4 million relationships across ten major biological scales.
This project:
- Downloads and processes PrimeKG data
- Imports the data into a Neo4j graph database
- Provides tools for querying and analyzing the data

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
