About Py Mcp Collection
Py Mcp Collection is a set of Python MCP servers for AI coding assistants, including filesystem operations and local project references. It also describes MCP Oops for wrapping and changing other servers, and vector document search that is under development.

MCP support
The collection includes MCP servers for filesystem operations and local references, plus MCP Oops for wrapping and modifying other servers; vector document search is under development.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

MCP Oops
This MCP Oops is a wrapper server that allows you to significantly modify the behavior of an MCP Server. It can be used to limit response sizes, host multiple MCP Servers on a single port, change tool names, descriptions, call pre/post hooks, and more.

Filesystem Operations
This MCP Server provides tools for performing bulk file and folder operations. It includes centralized exception handling for filesystem operations.

Local References
This MCP Server provides a way to reference local files and folders in the codebase. This allows you to expose existing documentation in the project as "Best Practices" or "How To" guides / etc to the AI Coding Assistant.
