About RaoMusic

RaoMusic is an MCP server for AI agents that generates songs, vocals, instrumentals, and sound effects from text. It connects to seven music engines and includes cost estimates, generation status checks, and audio links.

Key features

  1. 01Generate songs and sound effects from text
  2. 02Use seven music engines
  3. 03Inspect engines, versions, and parameters
  4. 04Estimate credit costs before generation
  5. 05Check generation status and audio links
  6. 06List recent songs

Use cases

  1. 01Create lo-fi instrumentals for studying
  2. 02Make a sung birthday song
  3. 03Generate a game pickup sound effect

MCP support

RaoMusic exposes account, model, and music-generation tools through a Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint. Clients can sign in with OAuth or use an API key.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

From the project README

RaoMusic plugin

Generate full songs (vocals + instrumentals) and sound effects from text, right inside your AI agent.

RaoMusic gives agents one MCP server with seven music engines: Suno, Google Lyria, Mureka, MiniMax, ACE-Step, YuE and ElevenLabs. Your agent can check the credit cost before generating, start a song, wait for it to finish and hand you the download link.

  • MCP endpoint: https://www.raomusic.com/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP)
  • Sign-in: OAuth with your RaoMusic account (no API key needed). API keys are also supported, see raomusic.com/plugin.
  • Pricing: generations use your RaoMusic credits, the same wallet as the website.

Then open the plugin browser, choose the RaoMusic marketplace and install raomusic.

Any other MCP client (Claude Desktop / claude.ai, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf…)

What's in this repository

  • .claude-plugin/ – Claude Code plugin manifest and marketplace
  • plugin.json, mcp.json, .agents/plugins/marketplace.json – Agent Plugins / Codex manifests
  • .mcp.json – MCP server configuration for Claude Code
  • skills/raomusic/ – a skill that teaches the agent the quote → confirm → generate → poll workflow

The plugin contains no code that runs on your machine; it only points your agent at the RaoMusic MCP server.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
