DxSure MCP Server and Client Setup
LocalAbout DxSure MCP Server and Client Setup
DxSure MCP Server and Client Setup is a Cloudflare Workers-based example for building a remote MCP server and proxy clients. It includes an unauthenticated client and a GitHub OAuth variant, plus example tools for arithmetic and currency conversion.
Key features
- 01Cloudflare Workers server and clients
- 02Unauthenticated proxy client
- 03GitHub OAuth proxy variant
- 04Addition and currency conversion tools
- 05Status and configuration endpoints
Use cases
- 01Learning to deploy a remote MCP server on Cloudflare
- 02Connecting Cursor to a remote MCP server
- 03Testing arithmetic and currency tools
MCP support
The server exposes add and convertCurrency tools to MCP clients. Included proxy clients connect to the remote server, with one variant adding GitHub OAuth.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
From the project READMEDxSure MCP Server and Client Setup
This repository contains a Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementation for use with Cursor and other MCP-compatible tools.
Overview
The project consists of:
my-mcp-server- The core MCP server that hosts tools (deployed to Cloudflare Workers)mcp-remote-authless- A proxy client that Cursor connects tomcp-remote-github-oauth- A version that adds GitHub OAuth authentication
Setup Instructions
1. Configure the MCP Client to Connect to Your Remote Server
The MCP Client needs to be configured to connect to your remote MCP server on Cloudflare:
-
Edit
mcp-remote-authless/src/config.tsand set theserverUrlto point to your Cloudflare Worker:export const MCP_CONFIG = { serverUrl: 'https://dxsure-mcp-server-v2.yourdomain.workers.dev/mcp', // other settings... }; -
Deploy the client to Cloudflare or run it locally:
cd mcp-remote-authless npm run dev # For local development # OR npm run deploy # To deploy to Cloudflare
2. Configure Cursor to Use Your MCP Client
In Cursor, go to Settings and set your MCP server URL to:
If running locally:
http://localhost:8787/mcp
If using the deployed client:
https://your-mcp-client.workers.dev/mcp
Testing Your Setup
After setting up, you can verify your configuration:
-
Check the client's status page:
http://localhost:8787/status -
View the current configuration:
http://localhost:8787/config
Troubleshooting
"No server info found" Error
If you see this error in the logs, it usually means:
- Your remote MCP server is not accessible
- The MCP client can't reach the MCP server
- There's a URL configuration issue
Solutions:
- Make sure the remote server URL in
mcp-remote-authless/src/config.tsis correct - Verify that your Cloudflare worker is deployed and running properly
- Check for any CORS issues if running the client locally
- Enable debug logging in config.ts to see detailed connection logs
Available Tools
The MCP server provides these tools:
add- Adds two numbersconvertCurrency- Converts currency amounts using exchange rates
Contributing
Feel free to add more tools to the MCP server by modifying the my-mcp-server/src/index.ts file and redeploying your Cloudflare worker.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
