About Google Flights (via Apify)

Google Flights (via Apify) is an Apify Actor that retrieves flight search results for travelers and travel-data workflows. It returns itinerary details and supports scheduled fare-drop tracking.

Key features

  1. 01Flight prices and itinerary details
  2. 02One-way and round-trip searches
  3. 03Cabin, passenger and currency options
  4. 04Fare-drop tracking with thresholds

Use cases

  1. 01Compare routes and travel dates
  2. 02Monitor scheduled searches for fare drops

MCP support

A hosted Apify MCP server exposes this Actor's flight-search tool to MCP clients. A local setup using @apify/actors-mcp-server is also documented.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Google Flights Scraper & API: prices, airlines and times

Run on Apify

Google Flights Scraper is an Apify Actor that returns Google Flights results for any route and date: price, airlines, flight numbers, departure and arrival times, duration, stops and layovers, aircraft, legroom and CO2 emissions, one way or round trip, any cabin, passengers and currency, at $0.20 per 1,000 flights.

Price: $0.20 per 1,000 flights ($0.16 on Gold and above) · Run it: https://apify.com/automationnation/google-flights-scraper · Guide: https://retracn.github.io/automationnation-actors/google-flights-scraper/

Quick facts

  • One row per flight: price, airlines, flight numbers, times, duration, stops, layovers, legs with aircraft and legroom, CO2 vs typical.
  • One way or round trip, economy to first, 1–9 adults, nonstop filter, any currency.
  • Airport codes or city names; many routes per run.
  • Price: $0.20 per 1,000 flights (a search costs under a cent).
  • Migrating from the Amadeus Self-Service API? The open-source amadeus-cloud package (github.com/retracn/amadeus-cloud) keeps the Amadeus Node SDK's flightOffersSearch.get/post and returns Amadeus-shaped offers from this Actor.
  • Fare alerts: with Only fare drops on, a scheduled run saves a route's flights only when its cheapest fare is lower than on the previous run, with that previous price on every row; Max price adds a threshold such as "under $900".

Example input

{
  "origin": "JFK",
  "destination": "LHR",
  "departureDate": "2026-11-12"
}

Flight price alerts (fare drops)

Schedule a search with "onlyPriceDrops": true: each run saves the route's flights only when its cheapest fare is lower than on the previous run, with previousCheapestPrice on every row. Add "maxPrice": 900 for a threshold alert. The first run saves everything (change: "first_check"); a run with no drop saves nothing.

{ "origin": "JFK", "destination": "LHR", "departureDate": "2026-12-18", "returnDate": "2027-01-03", "maxPrice": 900, "onlyPriceDrops": true }

FAQ

Is there an official Google Flights API? No. Google shut down its QPX Express flights API in 2018. Google Flights Scraper returns Google Flights results as data.

Are prices per person? Prices include taxes and cover all passengers; round trips show the round-trip total.

Can it send me flight price alerts? Yes. Schedule a search with Only fare drops on: each run saves flights only when the cheapest fare drops, with the previous price, and the task's Integrations tab sends them to Slack, email or a webhook. A run with no drop saves nothing.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
