About Lockbox
Lockbox is an agent-facing skill and plugin bundle for securely sharing API keys and private files between people’s agents. It teaches coding agents to use the Lockbox CLI so secrets move between `.env` files without appearing in chat.

MCP support
Lockbox provides an MCP connector at `https://lockbox.run/mcp` for Claude.ai and ChatGPT. The repository itself contains the agent skill and plugin bundle; the CLI and server are maintained separately.

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

This repo holds the agent-facing parts of Lockbox: the lockbox skill and a plugin bundle for
Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The skill teaches your coding agent to use the lockbox CLI
(npm i -g @opslane/lockbox) so keys go from one .env to another without being printed or
pasted into chat.
Install
Any agent that reads skills (via skills.sh):
npx skills add opslane/lockbox-skills
Claude Code:
claude plugin marketplace add opslane/lockbox-skills
claude plugin install lockbox@opslane
Claude.ai and ChatGPT: add https://lockbox.run/mcp as a connector. The Lockbox panel opens in
the chat.
Then install the CLI and sign in:
npm i -g @opslane/lockbox
