About Sezzlee SQL Server
Sezzlee SQL Server is a read-only MCP server for people and agents exploring Microsoft SQL Server databases. It combines catalogue search and schema inspection with bounded queries, while requiring a database principal without write permissions.
Key features
- 01Search tables and views by concept
- 02Inspect columns, types, nullability, and keys
- 03Run one read-only SQL statement
- 04Cap query results and enforce deadlines
- 05Check the connected database and principal posture
Use cases
- 01Find database objects when their exact names are unknown
- 02Inspect a table before composing a query
- 03Retrieve bounded results from a Microsoft SQL Server database
MCP support
Exposes connection details, catalogue search, table descriptions, and read-only query execution as tools for MCP clients. Connection credentials are set in the server environment, not supplied in tool arguments.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
