  1. 01Send SMS messages
  2. 02Initiate phone calls
  3. 03Retrieve account and user details
  4. 04List phone numbers and devices
  5. 05Access call history and resources

  2. 02Start a call from an assistant workflow
  3. 03Check account details and associated devices
  4. 04Review phone numbers and call history

MCP support

Exposes sipgate API operations as MCP tools and account, number, device, and history data as resources. Authentication uses sipgate Personal Access Token credentials.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"sipgateio": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"sipgateio-mcp"
],
"env": {
"SIPGATE_TOKEN_ID": "<SIPGATE_TOKEN_ID>",
"SIPGATE_TOKEN": "<SIPGATE_TOKEN>"
}
}
}
}
Run commandnpx -y sipgateio-mcp
Environment variables to set
SIPGATE_TOKEN_IDSecret
SIPGATE_TOKENSecret

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
