MCP support
The stateless, unauthenticated server at `https://aefact.site/mcp` exposes tools for law changes, entities, facts, articles, and claim checks. Decidable claims are checked against primary data and published; other accepted claims may be queued.

Details
From the project READMEÆfact MCP — Korean fact desk for AI agents
Æfact (에팩트뉴스) is a read-mostly Model Context Protocol server that gives AI agents verified, dated Korean public facts:
- What changes when — Korean laws and regulations taking effect, with the official amendment reason and changed wording quoted verbatim from the Ministry of Government Legislation (법제처).
- Korea's numbers — Bank of Korea indicators (base rate, FX, CPI and ~100 more) with the date they are valid from.
- Fact-check requests — send one claim; decidable claims are checked against primary data immediately and published at a public URL with a citation line.
Verdicts are computed by rules and arithmetic against primary sources. No language model decides a verdict.

Tools
| Tool | What it does | Writes? |

get_change | Full change card: reason, changed wording, effective-date clause, articles taking effect that day, citation. | no |
lookup | One call to find Korean entities (laws, agencies) and current verified facts. Each fact has freshness and a ready-to-paste cite. | no |
request_check | Submit one Korean factual claim. Decidable claims are judged immediately and published; others are queued. | stores the request |
get_request | Status and result of a request. | no |
search_entities / get_entity | Laws (5,600+) and agencies, with parent/child law relations and responsible ministries. | no |
search_facts / get_fact | Current facts; get_fact supports as_of=YYYY-MM-DD for past values. | no |
search_articles / get_article | Articles written when a value changed. | no |
list_categories | Categories and counts. | no |
What request_check can decide today
- Law effective dates — e.g. "근로기준법 개정안은 12월 8일부터 시행된다"
- Bank of Korea base rate — e.g. "기준금리는 연 3.00%다"
- Monthly consumer price inflation (YoY) — e.g. "9월 소비자물가 상승률은 2.9%다"
- Arithmetic inside the sentence (changes, shares, sums) — e.g. "1명으로 전년(25명)보다 96% 감소"
Other claims are accepted as queued and counted as demand. Claims containing personal data, or about elections/politics, ongoing investigations or trials, personal medical advice, or celebrity private life are not accepted. Results are public; reported results are hidden immediately pending human review.
Verdicts
사실 (supported) · 대체로 사실 (mostly supported — some figures not checked) · 사실과 다름 (contradicted) · 근거 부족 (insufficient evidence) · 검증 불가 (unverifiable). 계산 맞음 means only the in-sentence arithmetic was checked. Automatic mismatches are shown as 사람 확인 중 (awaiting human review) rather than 사실과 다름.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
