About crayon-c4-mcp
Author, validate and maintain a CRAYON-C4 architecture model — never write an invalid file
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
npx -y @crayon-c4/mcpCRAYON_C4_LICENSE_KEYSecretOptional. Unlocks repository scanning and AI enrichment. Without it, the free tier still gives the full local authoring loop (create/edit elements, relationships, diagrams, validation).Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| path | string | No | Workspace-relative path to a model FILE. Omit both arguments to validate the model this session is building, which is usually what you want before `write_model`. |
| model | any | No | The model object to validate. Takes precedence over `path`. |

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
