About alertchecker-mcp

alertchecker-mcp lets MCP-compatible AI assistants create web-monitoring alerts from natural-language conditions. It watches relevant web information and notifies users by email, with push notifications available as an option, when a condition becomes true.

Key features

  1. 01Create alerts from natural language
  2. 02Monitor relevant web information
  3. 03Email notifications when conditions are met
  4. 04Optional push notifications

Use cases

  1. 01Get notified when an item is back in stock
  2. 02Track weather forecast conditions
  3. 03Monitor a stock price threshold
  4. 04Receive alerts about earthquakes in a region

MCP support

The remote MCP server offers a `create_alert` tool over Streamable HTTP and uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE authentication. AI assistants can call the tool to create web-monitoring alerts.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

AlertChecker MCP Server

Gives any MCP-compatible AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, and others) the ability to create AI-monitored web alerts on your behalf. Then you will be told when something happens instead of having to ask — just say "Alert me when..."

What it does

AlertChecker watches the web for you and emails you when a plain-English statement becomes true. Once you connect this MCP server, any supporting AI assistant can create these alerts directly from natural conversation.

Example prompts:

  • "Alert me when the iPhone 16 Pro is back in stock at apple.com"
  • "Let me know whenever it's going to rain in London tomorrow"
  • "Email me when Tesla stock drops below $200"
  • "Tell me if there's an earthquake over 4.0 magnitude in California"

Tools

ToolDescription
create_alertCreates an AlertChecker alert from a yes/no question or natural-language statement. AlertChecker monitors relevant web information and notifies you by email (or optionally push notifications) when the answer becomes yes.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
