About dmcps
DMCPS is a Node.js/Express MCP server that gives AI agents file and shell access inside isolated Docker workspaces. A dashboard controls directory access, API keys, and backups.
Key features
- 01Isolated Docker workspaces
- 02Dashboard-based directory allowlisting
- 03Bearer API key authentication
- 04File read, write, and listing tools
- 05Workspace shell command execution
- 06Directory mounts with backup options
Use cases
- 01Let an agent edit files in approved project folders
- 02Run shell commands without granting host filesystem access
- 03Control directory access and backups from a dashboard
MCP support
Exposes file operations and shell execution to MCP clients over SSE and HTTP. Clients authenticate with a generated Bearer API key.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
The maintainer has not added details yet. Check the README in the repository.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
