About Timezone Converter X402

Timezone Converter X402 is an API and MCP server for converting datetimes between IANA timezones. It handles UTC offsets and daylight saving time, with ISO 8601 input and output and x402 pay-per-call access.

Key features

  1. 01Convert datetimes between IANA zones
  2. 02Account for UTC offsets and DST
  3. 03Accept and return ISO 8601
  4. 04Pay-per-call access via x402

Use cases

  1. 01Schedule meetings across timezones
  2. 02Convert timestamps in logs
  3. 03Coordinate international events
  4. 04Display local times

MCP support

The MCP server exposes the `utility_convert_timezone` tool, which converts a datetime between source and target IANA timezones. It is available at the listed MCP endpoint; the API also supports x402 pay-per-call.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Convert datetime between timezones -- all IANA zones, UTC offset, DST-aware. ISO 8601 input/output. Pay-per-call via x402 (USDC on Base L2) -- no API key, no signup, no rate-limit wall.

Part of the klymax402 marketplace -- 100 x402 micropayment APIs for AI agents, one wallet, USDC on Base.

Quickstart -- MCP

Add to your MCP client config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, ElizaOS, etc.):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "timezone-converter": {
      "url": "https://timezone-converter.api.klymax402.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Quickstart -- HTTP (x402)

curl -X POST "https://timezone-converter.api.klymax402.com/api/convert" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"datetime":"...","from":"...","to":"..."}'
# -> 402 Payment Required, with an x402 payment challenge in the response body

Any x402-aware client (@x402/fetch, x402-agent-tools, ATXP) handles the 402 -> sign -> retry cycle automatically.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
