From the project READMETuist
Tuist is a build platform for engineering teams and their coding agents. It supports build and test workflows across Xcode, Gradle, Bazel, Elixir, and Rust; Once support is in canary. Features vary by toolchain, and Rust compilation caching is experimental.
The following solutions are part of Tuist:
- 🚝 Cache: Speed up builds across environments with a content-addressable store.
- ✅ Selective testing: Skip unchanged test targets in Tuist-generated Xcode projects; an account-enabled early-access coverage strategy can select individual XCTest/XCUITest tests.
- 📦 Registry: Speed up the resolution of Swift Package Index-indexed packages.
- 📈 Build insights: Get actionable insights from your projects, builds, and test runs to make informed decisions.
- 📱 Bundle insights: Analyze your built apps and get suggestions to improve them.
- 📲 Previews: Sharing apps (previews) as easy as sharing a link.
- 🗂️ Generated projects: A solution for more accessible and easier-to-manage Xcode projects.
Openness and community are cornerstones in shaping Tuist, as we believe they are the key to building the best solution. We recommend checking out the following resources:

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
