Uber Eats MCP Server
LocalAbout Uber Eats MCP Server
Uber Eats MCP Server is a proof of concept for building an MCP server on top of Uber Eats, aimed at developers exploring Uber Eats access from LLM applications. It uses stdio transport.
Key features
- 01Builds an MCP server on Uber Eats
- 02Uses stdio transport
- 03Includes an MCP Inspector debugging command
Use cases
- 01Explore integrating Uber Eats with MCP
- 02Debug the server with MCP Inspector
MCP support
The server is built on Uber Eats for access by MCP-capable LLM applications. It uses stdio as its transport.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol that enables seamless integration between LLM applications and external tools.
Prerequisites
- Python 3.12 or higher
- Anthropic API key or other supported LLM provider
Setup
-
Ensure you have a virtual environment activated:
uv venv source .venv/bin/activate # On Unix/Mac -
Install required packages:
uv pip install -r requirements.txt playwright install -
Update the
.envfile with your API key:ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=your_openai_api_key_here
Note
Since we're using stdio as MCP transport, we have disable all output from browser use
Debugging
You can run the MCP inspector tool with this command
uv run mcp dev server.py
Comments
New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
