About Railhook
Railhook’s MCP server lets AI agents send webhook events and manage project endpoints, subscriptions, and delivery retries. This package is a stdio bridge for MCP clients that cannot connect to remote servers directly.
Key features
- 01Send webhook events
- 02List and create endpoints
- 03List and create subscriptions
- 04Inspect and replay deliveries
- 05Read-only API key support
Use cases
- 01Send events from an AI agent
- 02Set up project webhook endpoints
- 03Review failed deliveries and retry them
MCP support
The package bridges stdio MCP clients to Railhook’s remote MCP server, forwarding tool listing and calls without adding tools of its own. Clients that support remote MCP servers can connect directly to `https://railhook.io/mcp`.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.
Tools
Details
From the project README@railhook/mcp
A stdio bridge to Railhook's MCP server, for clients that only start local processes, such as Claude Desktop.
Clients that support remote servers (Claude Code, Cursor) should connect to
https://railhook.io/mcp, or <your origin>/mcp when self-hosted, and skip this package. The
bridge passes tools/list and tools/call through and has no tools of its own.
Use
Requires Node.js 18 or later.

The key is sent as Authorization: Bearer <key> and is never logged.
Tools: send_event, list_endpoints, create_endpoint, list_subscriptions,

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
