- 01Publish preview or live spaces
- 02Manage spaces and versions
- 03Roll back to an earlier version
- 04Search Velven documentation
- 05Add sign-in, leaderboards, and saves
Use cases
- 01Publish a browser game as a preview or live page
- 02Review and manage published spaces
- 03Add leaderboards or achievements to an interactive project
MCP support
Velven provides a Streamable HTTP MCP server for publishing spaces, viewing owned spaces and versions, rolling back, and searching documentation. Publishing without sign-in creates an unlisted page with a claim token; account tools require OAuth sign-in.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.
Tools
5| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| sdk | boolean | No | Add Velven's SDK script to the entry page. Default true. |
| spa | boolean | No | Serve the entry page for any unknown path (a single-page app). |
| clip | string | No | The video the tile plays on hover, without sound. Give the path of one of the files sent: an MP4 or WebM, up to 3 MB and 5 to 10 seconds long. Velven then records no clip of its own. Without a thumbnail, the clip's first frame is the picture. It must show the space itself. A clip outside that length is refused. If the file doesn't say its length, Velven measures it once live. It keeps the first 10 seconds of a longer clip, and drops a shorter one. A later version that names neither keeps the space's. |
| html | string | No | A whole page as one HTML string, published as index.html. |
| prod | boolean | No | Go live on the space's Velven page instead of making a preview. Signed in only. Default false. |
| claim | string | No | The claim token of an unlisted page: publishes its next version, or claims it when signed in. |
| entry | string | No | The page that opens first, if not index.html. |
| files | object | No | Files by relative path: text as a string, binary as { "base64": "..." }. Must include the entry page (index.html unless entry says otherwise). A velven.json, a dotfile, a dot-folder or node_modules, in any folder, is left out (never published; the result names the first 10 and counts the rest): send velven.json's settings as this tool's fields. |
| space | string | No | Publish a new version of this space (yours, signed in). |
| title | string | No | The space's name. Required for a new space. |
| engine | enum | No | What it draws with, if one of these.three.js | r3f | babylon.js | playcanvas | a-frame | godot | unity | phaser | p5.js | canvas | webgl | webgpu | wasm | dom | marble | spline | other |
| devices | array | No | Where it can be played. Required for a new space. |
| thumbnail | string | No | The picture on the space's tile. Give the path of one of the files sent: a JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB and 4096 pixels on each side. It's used as soon as the version is live, and Velven takes no picture of its own. It must show the space itself. |
| description | string | No | One line under the name. |

Install
Skill only, for any agent that reads skills.sh skills:
npx skills add velvenai/skills
Claude Code, the plugin (the skill and the MCP server):
/plugin marketplace add velvenai/skills
/plugin install velven@velven
Codex: add this repository as a plugin marketplace (.agents/plugins/marketplace.json) and install velven.
Gemini CLI, the MCP server: gemini extensions install https://github.com/velvenai/skills.
The MCP server
https://mcp.velven.ai/mcp, Streamable HTTP. Tools: publish (one HTML page or a few files, 3 MB in all, with an
optional thumbnail and clip among them: a preview, or live in seconds with prod: true), my_spaces, versions,
rollback and search_docs. Without signing in, publish makes an unlisted page and answers its claim token; the
account tools ask you to sign in to Velven (OAuth). Any client that takes a remote MCP server adds it by that address,
for example:
claude mcp add --transport http velven https://mcp.velven.ai/mcp
server.json is its entry in the MCP Registry (io.github.velvenai/velven).

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
