About Scope Analytics

Set up, install and query Scope analytics from an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"wally827-scope-analytics": {
"command": "uvx",
"args": [
"scope-analytics-mcp"
],
"env": {
"SCOPE_API_KEY": "<SCOPE_API_KEY>",
"SCOPE_API_BASE": "<SCOPE_API_BASE>"
}
}
}
}
Run commanduvx scope-analytics-mcp
Environment variables to set
SCOPE_API_KEYSecretOptional. A Scope project SECRET key (sk_...). Leave it out: the agent links a project with scope_link_project and you approve it in your browser.
SCOPE_API_BASEScope backend base URL. Optional; defaults to https://api.scopeai.dev.

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

Packages

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
