About SignalBrain

SignalBrain is a trust layer for teams governing changes made by AI coding agents. It checks merged receipts by rerunning their measurements and uses the results to calculate trust by change class.

Key features

  1. 01Signed, rerunnable improvement receipts
  2. 02Checks receipts against merged code
  3. 03Re-runs measurement commands
  4. 04Per-class trust ledger
  5. 05Fail-closed trust gates

Use cases

  1. 01Verify an agent's change claim after merge
  2. 02Block scoring of unmerged or edited receipts
  3. 03Gate workflows on measured trust
  4. 04Track evidence for different change classes

MCP support

The MCP server exposes `emit_receipt`, `validate_receipt`, and `gate_status` tools to MCP clients, allowing agents to create and check receipts and view trust status.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"whitestone1121-web-signalbrain": {
"command": "uvx",
"args": [
"signalbrain"
]
}
}
}
Run commanduvx signalbrain

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
