About rsdoctor

Rsdoctor is a build analysis tool for the Rspack ecosystem, aimed at developers investigating build issues and JavaScript performance bottlenecks. It visualizes compilation and examines output and build steps, while supplying build data for agent-driven diagnosis.

Key features

  1. 01Compilation process visualization
  2. 02Build timing and bottleneck analysis
  3. 03Asset, size, and dependency inspection
  4. 04Loader and Plugin execution analysis
  5. 05Module resolution inspection
  6. 06Duplicate package and syntax checks

Use cases

  1. 01Investigate slow or failing builds
  2. 02Inspect output assets and module dependencies
  3. 03Trace Loader, Plugin, or module resolution behavior
  4. 04Provide build data for agent diagnosis

MCP support

The MCP server exposes Rsdoctor build analysis data to agents for automated diagnosis and optimization of JavaScript programs.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"yifancong-rsdoctor": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"@rsdoctor/mcp-server"
]
}
}
}
Run commandnpx -y @rsdoctor/mcp-server

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
