About Qr_check_server

A small tool that improves WeChat QR code recognition accuracy on large images. It first locates and crops small QR codes with a trained YOLOv8 model, then decodes them with WeChat's open-source wechat_qrcode model. It offers an HTTP API and an MCP server.

Key features

  1. 01Two-stage detection: locate, then decode
  2. 02YOLOv8-based QR code localization
  3. 03Content extraction with wechat_qrcode
  4. 04Returns QR content and bounding box coordinates
  5. 05HTTP API and MCP server interfaces

Use cases

  1. 01Reading small QR codes in large images
  2. 02Detecting QR content and position from an image URL
  3. 03Providing QR recognition as a tool to MCP clients

MCP support

This project is an MCP server that exposes QR code detection over an SSE endpoint, and it includes a sample MCP client script.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

No install method listed yet

We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.

yolo_wechat_qrcode

pip install -r requirements.txt

python test.py

运行结果

0: 384x640 1 qr_code, 268.3ms Speed: 3.0ms preprocess, 268.3ms inference, 2.0ms postprocess per image at shape (1, 3, 384, 640) 检测到并识别到的二维码: 内容: http://weixin.qq.com/r/mp/YEk0LAPEkF7vrUdP9xxy 位置 (xmin, ymin, xmax, ymax): [564, 286, 610, 332]

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
