About FLOPS Index
FLOPS Index is an MCP server for agents and others looking up GPU rental reference prices. It provides a searchable index with verification and citation links for each value, and public access requires no API key.

MCP support
The server exposes five catalog and price tools to MCP clients, and provides each public index as an MCP resource. It can run locally over stdio or be accessed through the hosted /mcp gateway.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Public access
This package exposes the public FLOPS index surface only: citeable reference rates with verify and permalink URLs. Index construction methodology is not published in this repository — see flopsindex.com and the public access overview.

search_indices | Free-text search across the public catalog (resolves to slugs). |
get_price | Latest published price + confidence for one index. |
get_index | Source-opaque public payload — the citation shape (index_id, value, unit, as_of, data_tier, confidence, verify_url, citation_url, permalink). Use this when you intend to cite a value. |
verify | Latest published value + verify metadata for a given index_id. |

Every public index is also exposed as an MCP resource:
