About FabTally Chain
FabTally Chain is a read-only, keyless MCP server for on-chain monitoring queries by AI agents and developers. It returns ENS and Basename expiry, gas data, token unlock schedules, and Chainlink feed health.
Key features
- 01ENS and Basename expiry lookup
- 02Current gas fee data
- 03Token vesting and unlock events
- 04Chainlink price-feed health
- 05Stateless, read-only queries
Use cases
- 01Check a name's expiry and release date
- 02Review current gas fees
- 03Find upcoming token unlocks
- 04Check a Chainlink feed for stale data
MCP support
Exposes four paid, read-only monitoring tools to MCP clients over stdio or streamable HTTP. Calls use x402 payment payloads or an API credit key.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.
Tools
4| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| name | string | Yes | Full ENS name ending in .eth (e.g. vitalik.eth) or .base.eth (e.g. jesse.base.eth). |
| x_payment | string | No | x402 payment payload (base64) for this PAID read. If supplied it is forwarded as the X-PAYMENT header to settle the call and return the real result instead of a 402 challenge. Omit to get the price challenge first. |

On-chain monitoring reads an AI agent or dev polls per-call. Fronts the Chain HTTP API at https://chain.fabtally.com. Holds no private key.
Tools (all paid; a call with no payment returns the decoded x402 402 challenge)
| Tool | Price | What it does |
|---|---|---|
ens_expiry | $0.001 | Resolve an ENS .eth / Basename .base.eth name's registration expiry on-chain — expiry date, days-left, 90-day grace status, release date, current owner. Args: name. |
gas | $0.001 | Current gas for a chain via public RPC — base fee + suggested priority + max fee (gwei) at the latest block; optional at/below-threshold boolean. Args: chain, below_gwei?. |
token_unlocks | $0.003 | Next token vesting/unlock event(s) from DefiLlama's public emissions data — date, amount, % of max supply. Cleanly says so when there's no public schedule. Args: token (symbol/name/address), chain?. |
oracle_health | $0.003 | Chainlink price-feed health — last-update age, latest answer, round monotonicity, stale flag vs heartbeat, optional deviation vs a reference. Args: feed_address, chain, heartbeat_seconds?, reference?. |
Every tool also accepts an optional x_payment (base64 x402 payload) that is
forwarded as the X-PAYMENT header to settle the call and return the real result.
Humans can instead prepay by card and use an X-FabTally-Key credit key against
the HTTP API.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
