About accessibility-conformance-program-review
A skill for turning accessibility conformance questions into a scoped program plan with owners, release gates, metrics, and recovery paths. It covers audits, remediation, governance, procurement evidence, and assistive-technology testing.
Key features
- 01Plans WCAG and accessibility work
- 02Defines test scope and severity
- 03Assigns owners and remediation SLAs
- 04Sets release gates and exceptions
- 05Produces governance artifacts
Use cases
- 01Planning an accessibility audit
- 02Setting accessibility release criteria
- 03Organizing remediation ownership

Details
From the project READMEAccessibility Conformance Program Review
Use this skill to convert a accessibility conformance, WCAG targets, VPAT/ACR, assistive-tech testing, remediation, release gates, and governance question into a concrete artifact with owners, gates, metrics, and recovery paths.
Workflow
- Identify product surfaces, legal/procurement expectations, WCAG target, user workflows, current issues, owners, release cadence, and evidence needs.
- Read
references/accessibility-conformance-program-patterns.md. - Classify work as audit, remediation, design-system governance, release gate, procurement evidence, VPAT/ACR, training, or assistive-tech test plan.
- Define scope, standards, severity, test matrix, owners, remediation SLA, exceptions, release gates, documentation, and customer response.
- Produce conformance program plan, state machine, decision table, event schema, checklist, and remediation governance cadence.
When not to use
- Do not use for generic advice the base model already handles without this skill's specific artifact contract.
Guardrails
- Do not claim WCAG conformance, VPAT status, or accessibility readiness without scoped evidence and known exceptions.
- Do not rely only on automated scanners for keyboard, screen reader, cognitive, motion, focus, or workflow accessibility.
- Do not defer critical blockers that prevent core tasks for disabled users.
- Do not let design-system components drift without accessibility ownership and regression checks.
Output format

| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
Tests, issues, and owners:
- <item> -> <policy, metric, edge case, support note>
