About catalyst-pricing

catalyst-pricing is a skill for developers checking Zoho Catalyst costs, including free-tier, pay-as-you-go and billing questions. It presents free limits first and uses the GB-seconds formula with expected usage to provide a cost range.

Key features

  1. 01Covers free limits and paid rates
  2. 02Explains the GB-seconds formula
  3. 03Works through estimates using expected usage
  4. 04Notes serverless costs vary with traffic

Use cases

  1. 01Check whether a project fits the free tier
  2. 02Estimate serverless function costs
  3. 03Compare subscription and pay-as-you-go
  4. 04Check Catalyst storage costs

How It Works

  1. Load references/pricing-basics.md — for free tier limits, pay-as-you-go rates, and the GB-seconds formula.
  2. Free tier first — Always present free tier limits before pay-as-you-go rates. Most hobby projects stay within free tier.
  3. GB-seconds calculation — (memory in GB) × (execution time in seconds) × (invocation count). Present as a worked example with the user's expected usage.
  4. Estimate honestly — Flag that serverless cost depends on real traffic patterns; give a range rather than a single number.

Triggers
