About execution-simplification
A planning skill that reduces complexity while preserving important constraints. It helps teams identify the desired outcome, bottlenecks, dependencies, and next actionable slice, then produce a sequenced plan with validation and stop criteria.
Key features
- 01Separates facts and assumptions
- 02Identifies bottlenecks and dependencies
- 03Finds the next high-leverage step
- 04Sequences actions and validation
- 05Defines kill criteria
Use cases
- 01Turning a complex initiative into a plan
- 02Finding the next step in a blocked project
- 03Validating a small, complete delivery slice

Details
From the project READMEExecution Simplification
Use this skill to cut through complexity without losing important constraints.
Workflow
- Read
references/simplification-method.md. - State the desired outcome and the smallest observable proof of progress.
- Separate facts, assumptions, decisions, constraints, and reversible actions.
- Find the bottleneck, dependency chain, and highest-leverage next slice.
- Produce a sequenced plan with kill criteria and validation.
When not to use
- Do not use for generic advice the base model already handles without this skill's specific artifact contract.
Guardrails
- Do not simplify by ignoring legal, trust, data, money, or production risk.
- Do not create fake phases when a durable vertical slice fits now.
- Prefer a small complete system over many vague future promises.
