About gpc-vitals
A skill for querying Android app health metrics from the command line, intended for teams monitoring apps on Google Play. It covers crashes, ANRs, startup and rendering metrics, and supports comparisons across time periods.
Key features
- 01View app health overviews
- 02Query crash and ANR rates
- 03Check startup and rendering performance
- 04Monitor wakeups, wakelocks, and memory
- 05View error counts and grouped issues
Use cases
- 01Tracking recent app health trends
- 02Assessing metric changes around a release
- 03Investigating crashes or ANRs
- 04Checking startup, rendering, and memory conditions
Install

gpc vitals errors --package com.example.app
gpc vitals errors --days 7 --package com.example.app
List grouped error issues
gpc vitals errors issues --package com.example.app
Health check workflow
Run a full health assessment:
gpc vitals overview --days 7 --package com.example.app -o table
gpc vitals crashes --days 7 --package com.example.app -o table
gpc vitals anr --days 7 --package com.example.app -o table
Agent behavior
- Default to
--days 7for recent trends,--days 28for overall health. - Use
-o tablewhen presenting to user;-o jsonfor data processing. - Flag metrics that exceed Google Play's bad behavior thresholds:
- Crash rate > 1.09%
- ANR rate > 0.47%
- Compare before/after a release to detect regressions.
Notes
- Vitals data uses Play Developer Reporting API v1beta1.
- Data may have 24-48 hour delay.
- Upload ProGuard mappings (
gpc deobfuscation upload) for readable crash stacks. - See
gpc-build-lifecycleskill for deobfuscation upload.
