About grace-fix
grace-fix is a development skill for diagnosing and repairing failures in projects that use GRACE 4. It guides an agent from the reported error through root-cause analysis to a minimal fix and deterministic verification.
Key features
- 01Start from a reported failure
- 02Review GRACE graph and verification entries
- 03Check active change plans
- 04Inspect local contracts before editing
- 05Make the smallest safe fix
- 06Run deterministic verification
Use cases
- 01Investigating a failing command
- 02Fixing a defect while respecting project contracts
- 03Checking whether verification expectations are stale

Details
From the project README
1. Start from the failure, pasted error, failing command, or user report.
2. Load relevant `.grace/graph` module anchors and `.grace/verification` entries.
3. Check active `.grace/changes` for overlapping or stale planned work.
4. Inspect file-local contracts and semantic blocks before editing.
5. Identify root cause, present findings, then make the smallest safe fix.
Run the specific `V-M-*` commands or closest deterministic tests. If verification expectations are stale, update or propose changes through the GRACE 4 change lifecycle.
