About handoff

handoff is an agent skill for saving conversation context in a consolidated `.artifacts/HANDOFF.md` file and resuming or clearing it later. It routes save, load, and clear requests to corresponding instructions.

Install

Copy the command and run it in a terminal.

$npx skills add https://github.com/adeonir/agent-skills --skill handoff

After installing, type/handoffin Claude Code to confirm it loaded.

Handoff

Triggers

  • Save ("save context", "dump conversation", "checkpoint this", "session handoff", "save handoff") → save.md
  • Load ("resume session", "load handoff", "continue from last") → load.md
  • Clear ("clear handoff", "reset handoff") → clear.md

/handoff load → load. /handoff clear → clear. Any other argument, or none → save, with the argument as the focus.

Capture conversation state in one consolidated .artifacts/HANDOFF.md so a later session resumes with prior context.
