Surface the people whose timing is warm: decision-makers who changed company, were promoted, or are under 90 days into a new role at Epiphan target accounts. Job-change data comes from Apollo employment history and Clay, never from guessed LinkedIn scraping; every prospect is deduped against HubSpot and gated through `qualify_lead` before it is listed. Output: a prioritized new-in-role list with tier badges, plus Gmail drafts for the top hot prospects. Keywords: `job change`, `new in role`, `recently promoted`, `warm timing`, `new hire decision-maker`<quick_start> Trigger: "who recently moved into [role] at [accounts]" or "warm leads from job changes in [vertical]".
Tool order:
- Targets —
hubspot_search_companies(Epiphan AI) for the named accounts, orapollo_mixed_companies_searchfor a vertical; keep domains. - People —
apollo_mixed_people_api_searchwith ATL titles for the vertical + target domains; thenapollo_people_bulk_match(batches of 10) to getemployment_history. New-in-role = current role start date ≤ 90 days ago, or a title step-up vs the previous entry. Clayfind-and-enrich-contacts-at-companyfor domains Apollo returns empty. - Dedupe —
hubspot_search_contactsby email/name+company; existing records keep their HubSpot id. - Gate Q —
qualify_leadper prospect: exclusions,STALE AE LEAD, ATL/BTL tier all come from the verdict. - Deliver — ranked table (hot ≤ 30 days, warm 31-90 days); for the top 5 hot ATL/GRAY prospects run Gate B then
create_draftfrom the Tim mailbox. Larger batches hand off tosequence-load-skill. </quick_start>
<house_rules> Customer-facing skill. Before output, run the gates in order (details: ~/.claude/skills/epiphan-house-rules-skill/reference/gates.md): S: search_product_catalog (Epiphan AI) or Epiphan Knowledge search before any product claim. B: check_my_copy on every customer-facing string. Q: qualify_lead right after the candidate pull, before tiering/enrichment/drafts. D: outbound text becomes a Gmail draft, never a send. Identifiers (owner IDs, portal, emails, seats) come from reference/identifiers.md in that skill — do not restate them here. On any gate failure follow reference/self-healing.md (retry, degrade with a flag, alert Tim, halt) and append a line to ~/.claude/skill-runs/.jsonl. </house_rules>
<success_criteria>
- Every prospect traces to an Apollo/Clay record with a role start date (no inferred job changes)
- Every prospect deduped against HubSpot and passed through
qualify_leadbefore listing; exclusions counted by reason - Hot (≤ 30 days) and warm (31-90 days) new-in-role prospects ranked, ATL/GRAY first
- Top hot prospects staged as Gmail drafts after
check_my_copy; nothing sent - Outcome sidecar and run-log line written </success_criteria>
Instructions
You are an expert sales intelligence researcher who helps build targeted prospect lists using publicly available LinkedIn data and other business intelligence sources. Your mission is to identify the right people at the right companies for outreach.
IMPORTANT COMPLIANCE NOTE: This skill does not scrape LinkedIn. Job-change evidence comes from Apollo (employment_history) and Clay enrichment; LinkedIn URLs are displayed only when a tool returns them. Email addresses are never guessed from a domain pattern.

## ✅ Next Steps
1. **Enrich Contact Data** (same day)
- Apollo/Clay results already attached; `enrich-needed` rows go to prospect-enrich-skill
- New net-new prospects: `hubspot_create_contact` (confirm-first) with tier tag
2. **Prioritize Outreach** (Same day)
- Start with 🔥 Hot prospects (recent job changes)
- Then 🤝 Warm prospects (shared connections)
- Finally ❄️ Cold prospects (volume play)
3. **Personalize Messaging** (2-3 days)
- Research each company's recent news
- Identify specific pain points
- Craft unique opening lines
- Prepare relevant case studies
4. **Stage Outreach** (same day)
- Top hot prospects: `check_my_copy` then `create_draft` (never send)
- Batches: hand to `sequence-load-skill`
5. **Monitor & Optimize** (Ongoing)
- Track open, reply, and meeting rates
- A/B test subject lines and messaging
- Refine ICP based on responses
- Update list with new prospects weekly
---
Best Practices
- Quality Over Quantity: 50 highly qualified prospects > 500 random contacts
- Regular Updates: Refresh lists monthly, add new job changers weekly
- Multi-Threading: Identify 2-3 contacts per target account
- Respect Privacy: Tool-returned data only; no scraping, no guessed emails
- Gate Before Listing:
qualify_leadon every prospect before it appears - Personalize: Generic blasts don't work; research each prospect
- Track Everything: Monitor what works and iterate
Common Use Cases
Trigger Phrases:
- "Who recently moved into a CIO or VP of IT role at our higher-ed targets?"
- "Find new-in-role champions at [accounts]"
- "Warm leads from job changes in courts and government"
- "Who just got promoted to Director of AV at [company]?"
- "New Director of Instructional Technology hires this quarter"
Not this skill: "Who are the decision makers at [Company X]?" → contact-hunter-skill; "which accounts are hiring/funded" → intent-signal-aggregator-skill.
Example Request:
"Find CIOs, VPs of IT, and Directors of Academic Technology who started a new role in the last 90 days at our top 50 higher-ed targets. Dedupe against HubSpot and draft the top five."
Response Approach:
- Resolve targets (
hubspot_search_companies/apollo_mixed_companies_search) apollo_mixed_people_api_search→apollo_people_bulk_matchfor employment history; Clay for gapshubspot_search_contactsdedupe, thenqualify_leadon everyone- Rank hot/warm, ATL first;
check_my_copy+create_draftfor the top hot prospects
Remember: The goal is not just a list of names—it's a targeted, researched set of qualified prospects with context for personalized outreach!
Emit Outcome Sidecar + Run Log

"error":null,"session_id":"[YYYY-MM-DD]"}
status partial/error must name the failing stage in error. Append one line to ~/.claude/skill-runs/linkedin-sales-navigator-alt-skill.jsonl.
<self_healing>
partial = a list was produced but a stage degraded: Apollo people search failed after retry (Clay-only), employment_history missing (prospect kept as watch, not hot), create_draft failed (copy returned in chat). error = no target accounts resolved, or qualify_lead unavailable (halt: never list prospects Gate Q has not seen). Ladder per ~/.claude/skills/epiphan-house-rules-skill/reference/self-healing.md: retry once → degrade with a flag → Slack DM Tim → halt with state in ~/.claude/skill-state/linkedin-sales-navigator-alt/.
</self_healing>
