Partner Channel Program Review

Use this skill to convert partner channel, reseller, referral, co-sell, certification, incentive, support ownership, and conflict questions into a concrete artifact with owners, gates, metrics, and recovery paths.

Workflow

  1. Identify partner motion, target customers, value proposition, partner economics, sales process, support boundary, compliance needs, enablement assets, and conflict risks.
  2. Read references/partner-channel-program-patterns.md.
  3. Classify partner as referral, reseller, implementation, agency, technology integration, marketplace, affiliate, strategic alliance, or co-sell.
  4. Define tiering, qualification, lead registration, deal protection, incentives, certification, enablement, customer handoff, support escalation, and governance.
  5. Produce channel program plan, state machine, decision table, event schema, partner checklist, and launch/operating cadence.

When not to use

  • Do not use for generic advice the base model already handles without this skill's specific artifact contract.

Guardrails

  • Do not add partner incentives that reward low-quality leads, channel stuffing, customer confusion, or margin-negative discounts.
  • Do not let partners make unsupported security, roadmap, pricing, implementation, or compliance promises.
  • Do not launch reseller or implementation motions without support ownership, escalation, training, and customer success handoff.
  • Do not hide channel conflict between direct sales, marketplace, affiliates, and partners.

Output format

Channel program context:
Audience / source of truth / risk boundary:

Partner program plan:
| Area | Decision | Evidence | Risk | Owner |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |

Incentives, enablement, and governance:
- <trigger> -> <policy, metric, edge case, support note>
